Engineering Organizations for Women
 |
| |

CU engineering students organize a variety of outreach
programs through the WIEP to encourage young girls to continue
their study of math, science, and engineering. |
 |
The Women in
Engineering Program provides scholarships, academic
support services, and counseling to current and prospective women
engineering students. To encourage women to study engineering, WIEP
sponsors several recruiting and encouragement programs. WIEP also
continues to support women once they arrive in the College of Engineering
and Applied Science by offering academic advising, personal counseling, and programs,
such as peer mentoring.
Are you are a female high school student and would like to learn
more about what a career in engineering, math, science, or technology
is like? WIEP would like to invite you to attend their annual Engineering
Career Days for Women. Check out their
web site,
or contact Karen Zrebiec for
more information.
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is the largest non-profit educational
and service organization representing both student and professional
women in engineering and technical fields. In addition to career
guidance, SWE is designed for professional development of its members.
The Society of Women Engineers is a professional society that has
an active
student
chapter here at CU-Boulder.
