The Multicultural Engineering Program seeks to increase the number of students from underrepresented communities (African American, Hispanic, American Indian, and first-generation students) who graduate with a college degree in engineering and ensure that they have the full range of professional skills needed to advance in the profession.
If you're currently a Colorado high school student and would like to know more about what it's like to be a CU engineer, the Success Institute is right for you! MEP collaborates with Women in Engineering and the Integrated Teaching and Learning Program to host the multi-day workshop which prepares students for a career in engineering. If you have already decided CU is right for you, and you will be an incoming freshman, MEP would like to invite you to participate in the Summer Bridge Program. The program gives incoming freshmen an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the college through a five-week academic bridge experience. You can further enrich your student career by joining one of these engineering societies specifically for underrepresented students in engineering:
For even more information on campus-wide support available for underrepresented students, check out the Center for Multicultural Affairs. |
