The University
of Colorado Engineering Council is the student governing
body for the college. UCEC is composed of representatives from
each of the 29 student professional and honorary societies, as
well as any other interested engineering students. Any engineering
student may participate in the bi-weekly meetings. UCEC organizes
most college-wide undergraduate student activities, including
Career Week, Engineering Days (E-Days), and the
Engineering Recognition Ceremony
for graduating seniors. Colorado Engineer Magazine (CEM),
established in 1904, is the oldest student publication at the University
of Colorado at Boulder. The magazine features a variety of articles
ranging from semi-technical reports to general interest pieces that
highlight the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
Engineering Ambassadors
is a student group dedicated to public relations for the College
of Engineering and Applied Science. Members are student representatives
and tour guides for guests interested in the college. The Engineering Excellence Fund is a group of students and educators that is dedicated to improving
undergraduate education in the College of Engineering and Applied
Science at CU-Boulder. The EEF finances innovative projects in undergraduate
and graduate education, including the ITL Laboratory, the CAD computer lab, new course
offerings, new lab equipment, and cutting-edge research. Engineering Fellows is an honorary service organization involving a select group of academically successful, service-oriented undergraduates who promote academic excellence in the college through peer academic support. The fellows provide study sessions for difficult courses, informal help with coursework, and general academic advice and assistance. Engineers Without Borders
helps disadvantaged communities
improve their quality of life through implementation of environmentally
and economically sustainable engineering projects, while developing
internationally responsible engineering students. The Boulder Game Development Club hopes to teach and inspire members to become more interested in game development and to showcase your personal projects at the club meetings. CU Flying Club |
