Her experience in the telecommunications industry includes product design, development, and customer support for Lucent Technologies messaging and call center products. She also worked on data communications and computing infrastructure projects in Bell Laboratories. She was active in initiatives to improve software quality and productivity. Ms. Zelasko retired as vice president of Lucent Technologies in 2001 and subsequently volunteered her time to provide executive support to CU-Boulder's Women in Engineering Program where she focused on high school outreach to increase students' and teachers' understanding of engineering opportunities. She also served as chair of the Women in Engineering Corporate Advisory Board. Ms. Zelasko holds bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science from the University of Dayton and Purdue University, respectively. She is a member of the Association of Computing Machinery and the Society of Women Engineers. She serves on the board of the Colorado Technology Community Foundation. |
