Prior to joining the College of Engineering and Applied Science in August 2006, Mary supported the educational and research missions of engineering schools as a librarian at the University of Pennsylvania and at Princeton University. Besides her responsibility of managing several engineering and science libraries and their staff, Mary spearheaded a project to create a full-text searchable online archive highlighting the scholarship of faculty and students at the University of Pennsylvania. Mary holds a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Michigan, and she worked in that field for several years before obtaining her master's degree in library and information studies from Rutgers University. Mary’s professional activities have included serving as director and on the Scholarly Communication Committee for the American Society for Engineering Education’s Engineering Libraries Division. Her past leadership positions in the Special Libraries Association include chair of the Engineering Division and president of the Princeton-Trenton Chapter. |
