College Assessment
The
College of Engineering and Applied Science embraces a vision and a set
of goals that stress excellence. To ensure regular progress towards our
goals, the college is committed to regular assessment. Assessment is
conducted at both the college level and within the college’s departments
and programs.
There are
several channels through which we assess our performance, analyze and
report assessment information, and implement changes as a result. These
include:
- College Assessment Committee
The Assessment Committee meets each semester to consider/develop
ongoing assessment measures used at the college. The Committee serves
in an advisory capacity to the Director of Academic Programs and
Assessment for surveys that are administered by the Dean’s office on
behalf of the college’s departments and programs.
-
Standing Committees of the College
The following
councils provide assessment and oversight at the college level:
- Administrative Council
This committee serves in an advisory capacity to the dean in
making decisions related to issues of administration.
- Undergraduate Education Council
This committee is responsible for developing and coordinating
undergraduate educational initiatives.
- Graduate Education Council
This committee is responsible for developing and coordinating
graduate educational initiatives.
