Success Institute
The goal of the Success Institute is to prepare high
school students
for an engineering education at CU-Boulder and an eventual career in engineering.
Each summer success-oriented students with backgrounds
under-represented in engineering colleges and the profession attend this
multi-day workshop on the CU-Boulder campus. Their parents attend the last day
to watch presentations made by their children and attend panel discussions and
workshops. These same students may return each summer of their high school
years, transitioning to college at CU-Boulder Engineering and subsequently graduating
to join the engineering profession.

Girl Scout Badge Workshops for Brownies and Juniors
- The badge workshops introduce girl scouts to math and science at an early age. The girls rotate to different stations, and by the end of the workshop, they have completed the requirements to earn their badge. You do not need prior knowledge in a particular topic to participate. For example, an electrical engineer major can easily volunteer for a space exploration badge. You do not need to be a girl scout or have past girl scouting experience to participate.

High School Ambassadors
The WIEP Ambassador Program is aimed at getting the word out about WIEP and its programs to high school teachers and guidance counselors.
Visit your high school between Thanksgiving break and the start of Spring semester and personally deliver Engineering Career Day registration information and WIEP materials to key teachers and/or guidance counselors, and encourage them to get the information to students. There will be a meeting in mid-November to review WIEP materials and ECD registration information.
