Giving to the WIEP

Thanks for your interest in contributing to the University of Colorado at Boulder's Women in Engineering Program! Your support will help talented female students become tomorrow's engineers, innovators, and leaders.

Currently, 28 percent of female undergraduate students receive partial scholarships. Our goal is to provide enhanced financial support to 50 percent by the year 2010.

Give Online
Choose from these contribution categories:

  • WIEP Scholarships
Donations large and small are pooled and distributed to students in the form of $1,000 to $1,500 scholarships, renewable for up to four years.
  • WIEP Operating Fund
The WIEP offers leadership training, social activities and academic support. Your gift to the general operating fund would support on-going program costs, events, and activities that enhance the educational experience of female engineering students.
  • WIEP Excellence Fund for the Future
This strategic fund for excellence supports new student-focused initiatives and special projects, awards for excellence, student travel to attend professional conferences, and other strategic activities not covered by state funds.

Don't forget to find out if your company offers a corporate matching program and notify them of your gift!

Additional Giving Opportunities
In addition to our online donation options, the WIEP invites you to consider these additional opportunities:
  • Create a named endowed scholarship to honor someone special. With a minimum donation of $25,000 you can create an endowed scholarship fund which provides a permanent $1,000 scholarship given every year.

  • Until June 30, 2008 CU is offering a limited time opportunity for private support from individuals and corporations to be matched at least 1:1 by college funds. Learn more about the Investment in CU Engineering (I-CUE) initiative.
