Shell Mock Interviews
Wednesday, September 19th
10a.m. - 12p.m., Eaton Conf Rooms
Get your foot in the door.  It is never too late or early to start preparing for your future.  These interviews will allow you to gain valuable interview skills and experience, meet with industry professionals and potential future employers.   Gordon Johnson and Ed Raponi from Shell will be holding eight, 30 minute interviews with students.  Sign-up, with Beverly Louie at

Winning at Math Power Hour
Wednesday, September 19
5p.m. - 6:30p.m., DUAN G2B41
Don't do poorly on exams because you are too stressed to function.  This workshop will teach you about math anxiety and how to work through it to succeed.  Please bring your planner with exam/paper due dates and your teachers office hours schedule.  There will be free pizza too!

Attention all female Chemical, Chemical and Biological, Applied Math, and Open Option Engineering students.  Network with new people, female faculty, students, and staff in your major.  Also, sign-up for outreach and volunteer opportunities.  Please sign-in when you come!

Women's Manufacturing Workshops
For only $10 you can choose one of three dates to learn about machining tools and how to operate three machines from female instructors.  These skills will be useful in both your educational work and future internships.  Sign-up on the clipboard in ITLL 1B40.  Come October 1st, 8th and 15th from 5p.m. to 7p.m. or Saturday, October 6th from 10a.m until 5p.m., or Saturday, October 13th from 10a.m. until 5p.m.  Snacks and lunch/dinner will be provided.

CAREER SERVICES OPPORTUNITIES

Resume Writing Class
Engineering majors are invited to a RESUME WRITING CLASS on Wed., Sept. 19 from
5:00-7:00 pm in ECCH 107 (computer lab). Bring old resumes, work and academic history, etc. Get a start on writing a fresh, up-to-date resume. Please RSVP on CSO in the Career Events section.  This is very valuable with the Career Fairs being just around the corner!

Suit Yourself Fashion Show and Sale
Thursday, September 27th
10a.m. - 6p.m., UMC 235
With all the career fairs and interviews coming up you will need to look sharp.  Purchase great gently worn suits for almost nothing.  There will be a fashion show at 12p.m. highlighting what you shouldn't wear and advertising current looks.  Don't forget the profits from this event go back to MEP and MBSA.
