Current Students: Scholarship Postings

MEP Participation Grant

The Multicultural Engineering Program Participation Grant is given to MEP students as part of the program’s mission to recruit, retain, and graduate underrepresented students of color with the personal and professional skills to excel in professional engineering careers and/or graduate studies.

The MEP Participation Grant awards eligible students $1,000 for the first year and is renewable every year for up to four years. The grant amount after the first year is dependent upon the recipient’s academic performance and participation in the program.

To receive the MEP Participation Grant, students must complete the MEP Application and Participation Agreement forms. Grant recipients must comply with various participation requirements, including completion of two semesters of the MEP Self-Management and Leadership Principles course and participation in Academic Excellence Workshops and various MEP events.

The following are other scholarship opportunities that may be of interest to students of color, female students, and first-generation college students.

Multicultural Scholarship Funds
For students with 1 year of continuous residency in Boulder. Must of low or moderate income and be a current, full time student in university, community college or technical school

Engineering Merit Scholarship
Eligible students are entering sophomores, juniors, or seniors and will be enrolled full time in the fall of 2008. The minimum, cumulative GPA requirement is 3.0, but you are encouraged to apply if your GPA is close to the required. Deadline is March 3, 2008. 2008 NOAA Ernest F. Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship Program

•Up to $8,000 in academic assistance per school year for full time study
•10-week, paid ($650/week) summer internship
•Housing subsidy during summer internship

The AIST Foundation will award over $400,000 in scholarships and grants for the 2008-2009 academic year. Engineering students in CMEN, MCEN, and EEEN are encouraged to apply now. Puksta Scholars
The work of Puksta Scholars will effectively integrate learning in and outside the classroom resulting in an enhanced and illuminating educational experience and responsible citizenship. Each scholar must develop a year long intensive civic engagement project with support from an experienced team of faculty/staff, other scholars To apply, submit a Puksta Scholars application and four essays as described in the application by February 1, 2008 (refer to the link, below).
