What is the MESA Fall Fling?This two-day event brings 200 high school students from about 20 Colorado high schools to the CU campus to compete in two separate engineering team competitions: a boat-building challenge and associated race held in the CU Recreation Center swimming pool and an annual engineering project competition that serves as the National Competition qualifier.Only eight students and two advisors from each high school will be allowed to participate, unless approved in advance (contact info below). Please keep in mind an odd number of students will result in room sharing. Students in these rooms may not be near their advisors. There is a $35 registration fee (per student), which should be paid prior to arrival unless approved in advance. The registration fee will cover lodging at the Boulder Outlook Hotel at 800 28th Street (303-443-3322) as well as one meal on Thursday and two meals on Friday. MESA advisors will be asked to pay $20 per advisor for room and board.
